Clever Fruit Products, a developer of fermented superfruit natural health ingredients, will spend the next couple of years developing the fruit capital in Jalisco-Colima.
Clever will spend 8-weeks with boots on the ground this quarter based out of Guadalajara. It previously participated in a Agriteck accelerator program in Mexico hosted by the Canadian government’s Trade Commission officers in Mexico City and Guadalajara.
This is beautiful farm country and their farms are sophisticated and export focused. Whenever you see a fruit capital highly concentrated on export there tends to me more farm loss as the fruit to be shipped needs to be more perfect”, said Sean Sears, Chief Executive Officer for Clever. He added, “we are attracted by the biodiversity of the farming conditions as well as the existing infrastructure, particularly around Quadalajara and Colima’s commitment to being a bioprocessing powerhouse.
Clever is already active in its home base of wild blueberry country where two new large scale bioprocessing centers are under development. Clever is developing the fruit capital of Tasmania were FermenTasmania will soon break ground on a large scale bioprocessing facility.
