Clever Fruit Products (“Clever”) has entered a research agreement with the Perennia Innovation Center (“Perennia”) for its research and development services. The focus of this work will be on Clever’s proprietary fermentation process for its wild blueberry-based functional food ingredient.

Clever will work with Perennia in finalizing its productization from liquid to powder and develop a testing model to be used for future science studies. Clever will also utilize Perennia’s lab-to-lab services to scale its manufacturing model.

“Perennia is a critical resource in the local agri-tech and biotech ecosystem,” said Sean Sears, Executive Chairman of Clever. “We are excited to be working with them to achieve this critical milestone.”
